well, okay, no, it's not that beautiful, actually. i only dug into the themes far enough to find a color i didn't dislike, but i'm not by any means satisfied. which is fine! if i know myself, then i'm not going to be here for long, anyway.
anyway, if it's not obvious already -- i don't know how to blog.
not that i assume there are any hard-and-fast rules. i'm sure there are ways to blog that are more successful, of course, but is that what i'm really going for here? no! what i'm going for is "showing up occasionally and running my mouth until i'm satisfied."
ok what are some things i'm thinking about lately. for posterity. just kidding! this is also for me.
- raspberry pi projects! i am very interested in those little computers, but i don't have a lot of ideas for what i specifically want to do with them. also details for anyone who wanders in, if they're interested. or for me, if i forget.
(i have never used a raspberry pi in my life.)
- digital calendar (expensive): i want to try to run planify (the linux task manager, not planify pro) off of a raspberry pi and hook it up to a touchscreen.
- pipod (requires 3D printing): someone made an mp3 player with a raspberry pi and was kind enough to share the code and. pattern or whatever? for the case
- pihole (literally i can just buy a kit for this): uhhh so this like. an ad sink or something? i don't remember the exact term, and i'm not fully there with how it works, but i get what it does
- terrariumpi (i do not own any snakes): monitors temperature and humidity of terrariums
- soil moisture sensor (the most realistic by far): this combined with the appropriate software can tell you when you need to water your plants, which is probably the only way i'd ever be able to actually keep plants
- interior design for when i finally get to move out from my parents' again -- i can't believe i get to say this after years of being stuck here, but the fall!!! the fall!!! or technically the late summer!!! i don't have firm plans yet but it's coming :) anyway i like the japandi design style. that'd be sick.
- also i feel like -- and this would be WAY down the line -- i would looove to have more than one desk/workstation in my home. sometimes you just need a good place to work and also a change of scenery!
- was looking at platform beds with storage and the pickings aren't ideal, so to speak. so i looked up how to build one! this is undeniably something i don't have the skills to do, but i did find one that i think is practically perfect. i'm a BIG fan of the storage bench, and i've noticed (in the past couple of days, admittedly) that i really like the headboards that come out on the side like that! they do remind me of hotels a little bit, which is to their detriment, but i think part of that is because i keep seeing them on queens and kings and just staged with That Kind Of Hotel Lighting, you know? but if i -- perhaps -- am able to learn how to build a bed on my own, then i can also -- perhaps -- adjust the measurements so that the bed is a full, instead.
ok i'm done here for now but i think if i'm motivated enough i'll come back and update the raspberry pi projects with the appropriate links. why not!
